Combining Physical, Chemical, and Electronic Engineering Technologies:
Technological Capabilities for High-quality Toner Development

Successfully quantifying toner technology:Particle charge control and distribution of coloring agents support the solid performance of toners

In the sphere of toner technology for electrophotography, which involves physics, chemistry, and electronic engineering, IMEX has quickly achieved the technological quantification in the industry. Its technological superiority has been proven by outstanding research results ranging from the improvement of resin, a principal toner component, to particle charge control and the distribution of coloring agents. Based on such technological research, IMEX has produced exceptional results in the area of color toner for copiers and printers that make rapid progress. Those results appear in the form of high-quality toners whose performance exceeds conventional ones in terms of reproducibility of data texture and expression of fine color density and gradation.

High-performance toner fusible at low temperatures, which is used for high-speed printing, is proof of IMEX’s technological development capabilities

It is estimated that the fuser assembly of a copier or printer accounts for 80% or more of the power consumed by the equipment. Because of downsizing and reduced power consumption, laser printers have found their way to SOHOs and general households. In line with this trend, further reduction of power consumption by the fuser assembly has become a critical issue and all manufacturers are releasing new models that use toners fusible at low temperatures. Following this movement, IMEX pioneered such toner for the recycled cartridge market. Through trial production and evaluation using new materials and new processing technology, IMEX successfully developed this high performance toner of its own. We have high hopes for this new product as it is expected to acquire a large share of the world’s market for recycled cartridges.
